MEET THE SCOTT'S
Marcus A. Scott
Senior Pastor
Overseer Marcus A. Scott, Sr. is the Establishmentarian, Visionary, and Senior Leader of The Way Church International Fellowship of Ministries in Wendell, NC. He is an Apostle, author, clinician, and motivator. He is the husband of one wife, and a father to eleven natural children, but countless spiritual children. Pastor Marcus Scott Sr. was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of ten, under the leadership of the late Bishop Fred Cobb, Jr. (C.O.G.A.T.H of Durham, NC) At age fourteen, Pastor Scott acknowledged his call to the ministry and preached his initial sermon on January 2, 1994 entitled “Called at an Early Age!” He served under his Pastor as a Sunday School Teacher (both youth and adult). He also served as the President of the Young People’s Union, and in many other capacities. Pastor Scott was ordained to the office of an Elder in year 2000. That is the same year that C.O.G.A.T.H. of Knightdale was established. Pastor Scott has an undeniable passion to see people saved, delivered, and living in their NEW!
In 2017, he heeded to the voice of the Lord to change the name of the church from the Church of God and True Holiness to our current name: THE WAY CHURCH and within 6 months, the church moved to a new location at 6600 Hallelujah Blvd. In May of 2019, the church moved to Wendell Blvd. and added The Way Church Annex in January of 2021 to accommodate the growing children’s church ministry. In June of 2022, during the annual Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries Conference, Pastor Scott heeded to God’s voice, and submitted his ministry under the leadership of Bishop Michael A. Blue Sr and Pastor Malinda Tarte-Blue. In February of 2023, after much prayer and wise instruction, Pastor Marcus Scott Sr., became the Overseer and Senior Pastor of The Way Church International – Pakistan. He strives to be an example to the young as well as the old that “you can be kept if you want to be kept!” and that “living a holy life is the best life!” Pastor Marcus Scott Sr., now Overseer-Designate, is married to his bride of twenty-four years; First Lady Letisha Scott and together they are the proud parents of eleven children.
